Before the lock-out, Brodeur was ahead on almost every Roy records at same point in his career. Unfortunatly, a complete season lost is what could prevent Brodeur of beating Roy's records

Now with Stevens and Neidermayer gone he will actually have to start making saves instead of the defense blocking all the shots. The who devils team had adjusting to the new NHL and not holding the other players' sticks at the beginning of the season. Brodure is now facing many more high quality shots and his stats are good but not great.
