It's actually a weird story for me. When I was about 13, I didn't watch hockey, I wasn't even a fan of hockey. But I always heard my mom and dad yelling at the TV, and like any hockey fan, they would yell and talk about certain players and their names. I kept hearing "Datsyuks" name....so I would joke to my mom about his name (Why I don't know lol I was young). As a "joke and a hopeful attempt to get me into watching hockey" my mom bought me a Pavel Datsyuk jersey for Christmas that year. Little did I know how great Datsyuk was actually going to be. Then when I started watching hockey a few years later, and then when I became a fan of hockey and the Red Wings, I realized how I picked a great and amazing player to become a fan of way before I even knew anything about the sport!

Dustin Byfuglien was my favorite player before he got traded. After that, Patrick Sharp became my new favorite player. I have met Sharp multiple times and he's a really cool guy in person. I've met a lot of pro athletes and Sharp is one the nicest, if not the nicest, pro athletes that I have met. Plus, Sharp is a very talented forward...nowhere near the same level as Crosby, Stamkos, etc., but a strong forward nonetheless.

BQ: I've never heard of the National Lacrosse League.

I started watching the end of the games with my Dad and fell in love. I love it more than pretty much anything else.

BQ* I didn't even know that exsisted before, I learned something new!

Haha, I TOTALLY misread your question! I'll say Matt Bradley because he's one of three. Well, I was watching a game and saw this guy, drop his gloves and just pummel a guy, he got all bloody and s*it. That's kinda my thing, and then I saw all these people tweeting "Way to go Brads!! #NEEDSMOREBRADS" etc. and realized he's the sh*t. I was utterly heart broken when he was picked up by the Panthers and I cried. Yes, I cried over a player.

I think I got into Joe Thornton because he was the face of the franchise and he was nice at charity events and good to the media and fans. Then, when he got traded to SJ, I was heartbroken. I got the news as I was off Christmas shopping and it ruined my mood so badly that I went home from the mall empty-handed. Then Thornton went on to have the greatest season of his life! FIGURES!

I also have Bergeron tied for 1st place on my current favorites list. He's so classy, understated, and talented. He's a good leader and I liked watching him play ever since he was a rookie. He became my favorite after I've seen him celebrate after scoring a shorthanded goal. He seems so genuine and like a fun guy to hang out with.

LT - no question he's the perfect working lower back (versitle) hands down. he may additionally throw =P 3. Adrian Peterson (of the Minnesotta Vikings). he's a increasing massive call and a stud if he maintains to be healthful. 4. Andre Johnson - he's the beginning up of the Texans and he's an astounding playmaker and impression for the gang. 5. Tony Romo - staying far flung from jessica it truly is, he will no question be a #a million quaterback of the destiny.

I was bored a few years ago so I decided to watch some games from the Canucks 94 cup run and I discovered Trevor Linden. (keep in mind at the time Trevor was playing for Washington at the time I was watching this) he was tough, clutch and talented. I also discovered Pavel Bure who became my 2nd favorite. Then I watched a few old penguins games and Mario Lemieux became my 2nd favorite

My favorite was Kariya. When I was a youngster, I was in class, looking at the lame bookshelf for something to pretend to read so I wouldn't draw her attention. I happened upon a Paul Kariya biography. Excellent. This would keep me off the radar. I accidentally read something, which was that he was from Vancouver. Hey, I was born in vancouver (I'd moved to Seattle at the time). And so I read it all. It was my first liking of hockey, and he was pretty much born in as my favorite.

But after he retired this summer, I had to find someone to replace him. And I watched a ton of stuff about Stamkos personally, and kinda bought into him.

Favorite player: Joe Thornton

(I do have a couple of other favorites. Thornton is favorite #1A.)

The fact that he keeps it real is what made me like him (he is who he is on the ice/to the media/fans... does that make sense? haha ha). Sometimes it's gotten him into to trouble but he just keeps his head up, mans up, and keeps on truckin'. He seems like an overall nice (and funny) guy and is a great player who I enjoy watching. That and I think he really helped elevate the Sharks.

Ryan Miller.....When i first got into hockey I was a fan of the team closest 2 me, the caps.....but when i saw the sabres play the caps the first time and Ryan Miller in net 4 them, i was amazed! then I desided that he is my favorate of all the players ive seen! and then 2 seasons later he was in the 2010 olympics and that made Miller my idol. he is American like me, he is a nice guy who cares 4 people, not a rich a$$hole. and he takes the game seriously!

then in fall 2010, i was sick and tired of the ovechkin love in DC and the hype of the CRAPitals that I took a month thinking about it but i desided that my favorate player and idol is ryan miller, and i enjoy watching Miller and the sabres play alot more then i liked watching the caps , plus the ovechkin hype was annoying the fu*k out of me, so I decided to be a sabres fan!

alot of the caps fans only care about ovechkin, and no one elese on the team, id go 2 caps practice and people and their kids only showed up for like 10 minutes when Ovechkin was on the ice till he went to the locker room, then they left while the rest of the team was still practing....and they only got excited when ovechkin was their on the ice, its disquesting!!!!!!!!!!

SO im a Sabres fan for 2 seasons now!!!! and i love my team, they are more exciting then the caps and everyone on the sabres is appricated!!!!
