Question:
Shouldn't Rangers fans who want staff change stop feeding them money?

The team announced earlier in the week that Torts and Sather would both be staying. I decided right there that I wouldn't be attending a game next season or ever until they're both gone. I'm sick of the same old sh*t! The Yotes and Pens sucked and were drawing 11,000, so they changed and got good. Where's the Rangers 11,000 fans? No they sell out every night making ownership think that their garbage product is acceptable. The big wigs at the top are usually money guys, not hockey guys, and this is definitely true for the Rangers owner who is strictly a businessman. He doesn't care about wins, just money, and as long as the money's flowing, he's gonna look at it as a working formula and keep the same hockey people like Sather that keep running the team into the ground. Rangers fans say they've had enough, and yet they keep paying for the same crap. Shouldn't they stop showing up?

Go ahead and don't go to games, there will be someone else willing to buy that ticket. You cannot let fans run a team. Say what you will about Tortorella (personally I'm not a fan) but he is a few years removed from coaching TB to a cup. Must know what he is doing.

While Sather has admittedly made some questionable moves, he is still thought to have a great hockey mind and has 5 rings.

The Rangers are only in it to make a buck? Some serious holes in that theory. Firstly, the money is in WINNING......that kind of shoots that down right there. Add the fact that the Rangers don't go spending the salary cap minimum but rather the maximum AND obscene amounts pre salary cap and that doesn't sound like a cheap organization either.......so to say he only cares about money, not wins....is....well....an oxymoron. They go hand in hand.

It amazes me how a coach or GM can go from genius to idiot and vice versa overnight in the eyes of casual fans.

The Yotes were about to get good anyways and just needed Bryzgalov to bounce back (yes, Tippett has helped but he isn't the sole reason for their rise) AND Pittsburgh got good by stinking and then by winning the mother of all lotteries.

Jimmy Devellano and Ken Holland have let their thoughts be known before on listening to what fans might think is right and what they as professionals know aht is right.

I've seen Philly fans call for heads on issues before and be proven wrong over and over again......Why did they hire Charlie Manuel when they could have had Jim Leyland, a few years back, Iggles fans were clamouring for TJ Duckett and Ashley Lelie, they both went on to never be heard from, trade Hamels not Cliff Lee (yeah right, a player with one year left on his contract or a guy who you control the next 3 years), Bob Clarke bringing in Beezer instead of CuJo....CuJowanted long term ... didn't make sense. Philly sports fans are among the most knowledgable and yet they can still be dumb (see Bill) but some other cities are downright out to lunch.

Stop showing up? Yeah....then they might start not maxing out on salaries....hey, Sather seems to get more out of less so maybe it's not that silly...on second thought, yes it is.

Laslty.....surprised they both stayed....after Tortorella's recent comments.

"I decided right there that I wouldn't be attending a game next season or ever until they're both gone."

Cool. I'm sure there's someone else out there who would glady buy that ticket.

"the Rangers owner who is strictly a businessman"

It is about the money as much it is about the hockey. What hockey player would play for a team that wont pay him? They're all in it for the love of hockey, entertainment AND money. Hockey and money go hand-in-hand.

"Shouldn't they stop showing up?"

"fans" who just show up when there team is winning, are fake. Theyre' not true fans and just hop on the bandwagon whenever their team is winning. A true hockey fan sticks by his team through the thick and thin. It's a TEAM. We're ALL in it together.

I'm a die hard Leaf fan. My team hasn't won the stanley cup since ever BUT that doesn't stop me from attending their games, buying anything that has a Maple Leaf on it, wearing their jerseys, etc.

Leaf tickets are the most expensive yet they always have a sell out crowd. Why?

Leafs haven't won the cup since 67 yet Leaf fans stick behind their team 3000%. Why?

Becasue we BELIEVE in our team. All for one and one for all. It's all about the spirit.

If you hate the Rangers, like myself, pick a different team. Why don't you hop on the Pens or Caps bandwagon right now, it seems like they're the favourite at the moment and have the most "fans"..

You're just a lame turd who doesn't know what he wants. No teams wants you anyways. You're not a true fan. Just a bandwagoner. :)

Go LEAFS Go!!

My friend it is like the Pittsburgh Pirates...they have sucked for 17 years ...not even making .500 I have boycotted the team....espcally when the Owners are the 3rd most profitable MLB team....all the fans who go to the game just make it so NO change will ever occur......they got good players then trade them away ...it is disgusting.....so i feel your pain

The same could be said for the Leafs. Those tickets are pricey compared to the other arenas I've been too.
