Sidney Crosby is the best and everyone else sucks! Malkin is ok but no Crosby. Why do talk about other players that don't matter?
In Pittsburgh we only support winners and Crosby is a winner. Of course Crosby got nothing on Big Ben and Steelers matter more.

Ok kid , you need to understand every player in the NHL is amazing otherwise why would they be in the NHL ! The greatest hockey players in the NHL are chosen by / or should be chosen by how many points they get and how hard they work etc.

Hmm ovechkin and malkin both have more points then crosby , but hey Crosby is a great player and works his butt off and makes pplok good etc , but he is not the best ..

i am a native pittsburgher but this was completely obnoxious of you to do. you just admited to everyone that you never followed the pens until they drafted crosby. did you know jaromir jagr played for the pens? you know the pens existed before 2007? i will be the first to admit that pittsburgh is a huge fairweather hockeytown. as for the "malkin is ok" comment, he is way better than sid. the pens looked like sh*t without geno (and most of their 1st line, really), but when sid went down in 07-08, malkin carried the team and nearly won the scoring title. dont get me wrong. sid is one of the best in the game, no doubt, but sid is no MALKIN. just admit that you support the pens because of crosby. i have followed the pens since 1999 (i was 9 years old), and i can tell you who lemieux, jagr, kasparaitis, morozov, etc. all are. hell, do you even know who badger bob johnson, scotty bowman, paul coffey, ron francis, or tom barrasso are? i bet not.

It's hard to determine, who's the best and who's not. There are many interpretations, on how to determine the best. Maybe through points, assists, goals, but how about plus/minus and how many take aways and give aways? I say Crosby is not the best but he is a very good offensive player, and works hard every game despite being under the pressure of so many negative fans.

Im just going to tell you what you want to hear. YOU ARE RIGHT!!! Forget Gretzy,Lemieux Orr and the other great ones to play before Crosby came to the NHL they are nothing. Penguins are invincible when they lost to the islanders today the refs cheated. Everyone hates Crosby and just wants to make his life miserable when we all know he is the second coming of Christ!

Why not just change the name of the NHL to the NCL national crosby league? the reason people talk about other players is b/c we like the game.. we watch games that our homer team isnt even playing in we go to see games that aren't even NHL... we enjoy the sport as a whole and dont just jump onto saying we support a team once they win the cup or are in contention for the cup.. let me ask you this... if you only support winners then what team did you support from 1992 to 2008 when they failed to win the cup for from 2001-2006 when they failed to even make the playoffs?
