I have the opportunity to work with my 2 top team choices, I need help deciding which 2 teams to chose from the list below. Decision should be based on likelihood to make it to the finals or the team most likely to have a longer run.

Boston Bruins

New York Islanders

Chicago Blackhawks

Nashville Predators

Las Vegas Golden Knights

St. Louis Blues

Columbus Blue Jackets

Carolina Hurricanes

Florida Panthers

Any recommendations or comments are welcomed.

You can't work for more than one NHL team at a time. At best this is a decent BS story, at worst it's a troll fail.

You "might" (by that, should) want to consider where you'll be living, and take cost of living and other factors into consideration (the cost of living in Columbus is significantly lower than Boston, Chicago or Brooklyn) as in is this a city/market/area you want to live/work in. Presumably, this means you've interviewed with each of these teams (typically, the process would be at least 1-2 in-person interviews, so this means you've conducted 9-18 in person interviews and are now sitting on 9 job offers, which seems perfectly normal and completely legit). The job offer would come with salary information on it which should probably be a factor. Offer letters spell out what they're offering you; it may or may not come in the form of an actual contract. It may come in the form of an offer letter with a deal memo or an actual contract as well (if you are dealing with an actual contract, you should probably have a lawyer look at it).

One tiny little thing. Nobody works for more than one NHL team at a time. Doesn't matter if you're in sales, ticketing, hockey operations, marketing, legal, finance/accounting, analytics, professional/amateur scouting, or any other department. I know two people who work for the Toronto Marlies AHL team and they're happy to verify this (work for MLSE or any other NHL franchisee parent company and you sign a no-compete clause). I've been fortunate enough to have a few beers with former Edmonton Oilers employee Tyler Dellow (he was hired because of his analytics knowledge) at a TFC game (he's quite knowledgeable about soccer in addition to hockey and managed to expand what I knew) and would also tell you that anyone working in an analytics department is expressly forbidden to work for another club and is absolutely forbidden from sharing any of their work with anyone, including other clubs. He's also a lawyer which means he understands the hiring process and the various clauses that go into employment offers at the NHL level (I don't work in sports but my contract has an entire page devoted to non-compete clauses and language about intellectual property; long story short I can't work for any competitors and I cannot share anything I've learned, developed or worked on with a competitor).

But cool story, bro.

Knights is a no brainer, but then... Panthers?
