Question:
Why do players whose names start with "S", that play for the Avs constantly get injured?

As you may or may not know; the Avs leading goal scorer Marek Svatos tore his ACL vs. the Kings and is done for the season. Also vs. the Kings, Ryan Smyth, who has been on fire lately with 2 goals in that game and a goal vs. Calgary (his hot streak coinciding with Stastny's return) got a separated shoulder and a concussion, and is also most likely done for the season. Now get this, these are the major Avs injuries this season:

Arnason, Tyler (missed 12 games)
Clark, Brett (out for season, will miss a total of 24 gms.)
Laperriere, Ian (missed 12 games)
Leopold, Jordan (missed 27 games)

Now here are the "S" injuries:

Sakic, Joe (38 games missed)
Sauer, Kurt (28 games missed)
Skrastins, Karlis (12 games missed, traded at the deadline)
Smyth, Ryan (out for season, will miss a total of 37 gms.)
Stastny, Paul (missed 15 games)
Svatos, Marek (out for season, will miss a total of 20 gms.)

Can someone explain why all Avs players whose names start with "S" get injured? Why???

Whoa, whoa...Smyth isn't out for the season. All the reports I have read have just said indefinite (I could be wrong, but I read a few reports last night and this morning and none stated that).Svatos, yes, out for season. And weird, but true observation about the "S" names, sad day.

ah yes curse of the demon S's oh well we still have enough guns and bruisers to make the playoffs if we keep playin hard svatos is a very unfortunate loss for us and smyth has been better lately but with iceberg on the horizon and theo starting to get a little kick in his game along with the combined force of foote, salei, laperrier, sakic, and stastny we will be fine along with a little help from our other guys.GO AVS

I certainly have been in Angels Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Petco Park and in spite of the call is of that sauna in Miami in pink Sox kit. everyone treats you with know/ignores you, different than the american followers. there is merely too plenty background there. It makes it exciting. As on your adventure, i could not at all understand why a Yankee fan would take place at Fenway for a pink Sox--Tigers interest in Yankee kit. positioned on Tiger kit for Heaven's sake. of path you would be the main loathed individual interior the park. certainly wearing a Yankee hat interior the city of Boston isn't the brightest of strikes as a popular count.

Nips..........are you Brian Murray? Sure sounds shat sway.

Dumb luck Mikey.....WHY did the 2006 Stanley Cup winning Hurricanes have a team full of W's?

Cam Ward in goal.

Wallin and Wesley and Aaron Ward on D.

Weight, Williams and Whitney as forwards.

How I would even know that is beyond scary.

It's the letter "S" 's turn . Don't you know it runs through the alphabet and since the Avs have a lot of "S" players They get stuck.

I guess the Avs can't handle the pressure....Much like those Red Wings, two weak teams that can't match up to the power house that is none other than the Calgary Flames!

It's all part of the NHL's conspiracy to make Sidney Crosby their darling goldenboy!

I'm not sure how that works... but it works, my friend, it works...

Anyway. If Rusty goes down next, it is ALL your fault Mike. By the way... Thanks for Svatos again, you heartless Russian! (Kidding, kidding.)

Haha, you're such a flip-flopper! :P

They just need to sign some players who's names don't start with S.

Forsberg doesn't start with an S and he will be injured soon.

Funny. I was thinking that when you listed your team injuries last night. I guess Sordan Seopold changed his name too late.

Sorsberg will be hurt in a week or so. I think Soote might last a few more games past that. Sheodore cant afford to get hurt.
