On his rookie card, an autograph greatly diminishes the value. A true Mint Gretzky Topps RC goes for over $1,000 and an OPC, around $5,000. A signed card, no matter how nice and sharp the corners are and no matter how perfectly centered, is no longer mint. It would still be worth more than a signed dollar Gretzky card, but nowhere near the value of a rookie if Mint.
In general, signatures are obtained on inexpensive items that are enhanced in value by the addition of an autograph.

Nowhere close to what it became once properly worth. this may seem twisted up, yet i'd carry onto those playing cards perchance till he passes away, that's the basically reason the fee ever is going up. at present they are likely properly worth about $1500-3000. in case you wait till he passes in some unspecified time sooner or later, you should likely get 4 or 5 cases as a lot funds.

Only if the signature can be authenticated, otherwise I wouldn't pay a dime for it.

It is supposed to increase, but only if it was signed by the player.
I hope I helped.

any clown with a pen can make 1,000,000 signatures
the card needs to be "authenticated" before any value is determined !!
