What is up with the Canucks?

Read this article. It really seems like the Canucks are one of the most, if not the most hated, team in the league because of how ignorant their fans are. Their fans constantly blame the refs when the refs had nothing to do with the series going 7 and Boston winning. I'm sorry Canucks fans but your team simply choked and embarrassed themselves in front of the sports world. Boston was the better team and you will never win a Stanley Cup with a Sedin as your captain. Congrats Canucks on being a disgrace and an embarrassment. 8 goals in 7 games. Surprises me this series even went that far. Should've been over in far less. The Vancouver media drooled all over you but when it mattered they like most of your fans, quit and turned against you.

Woah calm down buddy, I'm a Canucks fan and I also think Boston was the better team deserve the Cup but wow saying we will never win the Cup or Canucks are a disgrace, sounds not right. All that riot has nothing to do with the Canucks, when and where did you see Henrik burn down the police car or even Daniel breaking the glasses? we have 6 players injured, who were still playing in game 7. They worked hard we as fans appreciate all the effort they put in this whole season.

To start w/, Alain V. coaches the team to be headhunters. This became obvious during the playoffs while players were leaving their feet to give a cheap shot. The game plan was in the open ... win at all cost ... even your honor. Well, the strategy backfired. The Canucks lost both the Cup and their honor. Then the riotous fans underscored the unsportsmanlike behavior.

What I find particularly alarming is how the Canuck fans either don't recognize the unnecessary roughness (w/ intent to injure) or actually condone the practice.

How did our team choke and embarrass ourselves? We made it to freakin game 7 of the finals! Only 2 out of 30 teams did! One team had to win out of the 2, both can't (unless you didnt know that)

8.HAHA, now you are just making yourself sound absolutely stupid! This is just getting funny! Last time I recall, ummm, Henrik Sedin is the freaking scoring leader of the season, which makes him the best player in the league this year.

9. 8 goals in 7 games was because, as I said, ALL of the players had an injury, broken backs, broken hands, broken shoulders, really bad hip, bad foot injury, bad back injury, horrible eye injury.

10. NONE OF US FANS TURNED AGAINST THEM



Next time dont waste 5 of your points on an idiotic question. Obviously you couldn't know hockey to save your life. Your just jealous of the Sedins and our team.

EDIT: Look I now that some of the Boston fans will be giving me thumbs down, but no, you don't get it. I say, congratulations to your team for being the champions. They were great and deserving. I am just saying what maybe lead our team to not being the best they could be. But what I am saying is true above about my team. And the only reason you would give me a thumbs down now is because you dont understand hockey. What I don't get is why some ppl, say that the canucks suck. They came in 2nd place in the league, made it past 28 teams, and fell short in game 7 of the finals. It is just remarkably stupid how people can say they suck. I would never say that the Bruins sucked, because they won! Yes, I don't like them, but that is different then saying they suck, that's a different thing.

As a true Canucks fan from the Vancouver area, I'd be careful about painting everybody with the same brush. Yes, in game 7 Boston was definitely the better team and they deserve the win. Don't be sorry. A small group of people decided to start rioting in the streets, and slowly but surely they are being arrested since the entire escapade was on film. The day after the riot, 10,000 people showed to clean up the aftermath to show how much we appreciate our city. The riot was definitely an embarrassment for the city, but it was a small group of idiots taking advantage of their temporary anonymity. Congrats Boston! We'll get it next year. Go Nucks Go!

You, sir, seem to be quite emotional as well. Whether the series was composed of 8 goals or 80 goals it doesn't matter. It's simple math.

A 1-0 victory counts as a 1 game win in the series, identically as a 1293-1292 victory. So, mathematically speaking, scoring 1 goal while preventing the other team from scoring seems a far less tiring job than scoring 1293 goals. This is because hockey only requires a winning margin of 1 goal per game, unlike tennis, in which you must be leading by 2 games as well as having at least 6 games to win a set. This is called efficiency. The minimum number of goals required to win a series is 4 (one for each game, provided that the opposition does not score.) So if Vancouver can win with 4 goals, why bother trying for 5?

How did the canucks embarrass themselves? They gave us the best 10 months of hockey we have ever seen from them and made it right to the end. It sucks they didnt win but they accomplished a lot this year and theyll be back stronger than ever. BTW in Sedin's first year as captain we made it to game 7 of the finals so yeah i think theres a very good chance were going to win a cup with him.
