Question:
Would it help the Phoenix Coyotes if they held their games a normal times?

Last night the Phoenix Coyotes hosted the greatest team in hockey at 6:00pm on a Thursday night....6:00pm....not 7:00pm, or 7:30pm...6:00pm, on a weeknight.

I've been to Glendale a couple of times and the 12 hour drive from Phoenix is murder at dinner hour.....do they really think people can leave work, go home, change, and make it to Glendale to a 6:00pm game? Or do they expect everybody to show up in suits like Toronto and Montreal (not that there's anything wrong with a nice suit accompanied by an appropriately coloured fedora).

Just seems to me that the team/league is magnifying every issue that is wrong with this team.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Unemployers truck drivers who specialize in moving with empty rigs who need directions to Glendale and then Kansas City/Las Vegas/Hamilton/Winnipeg/Seattle/Saskatoon/Quebec/Halifax/Hartford/Cleveland?

Terrible...Why? What was the attendance?

My suggestion......Las Vegas is 278 miles from Glendale....get those unemployed truck drivers to move them there...hopefully Mr. Bruckheimer is willing to pay a decent dollar, secure a lease at the new Harrah's Arena which was slated to open in 2010 and get Casinos onboard as corporate sponsors.

They can still keep their die hard fan base from Phx.......cut out at lunch on Thursday for the 4 hour drive to Vegas and make a week-end out of it.......all the snowbirds from Canada (Winnipeg...and Hamilton included) can take a trip down to see their favourite team.

I am telling you right now........if they were to do that then I would ABSOLUTELY be good for their one home game vs. the Flyers each year........and imagine how many people would take road trips........especially other Western teams who are closer......Edmonton-Vancouver-Calgary.

Just for fun, I just went to West Jet and typed in a random date....December 15th-22nd and hit search for flights from Vancouver to LV............87.99 each way........so 269.00 round trip, taxes in. You can stay at NY-NY or MGM Grand for 59$ per night so again, not expensive...christ, you could go from Western Canada to see your favourite team in Vegas for the cost of a Maple Laugh game!!!

If they are smart, they will be ahead of the curve and be the first to take advantage of all Vegas has to offer.

Basically what's the normal times going to do there anyways? Seriously, an arena with 5,855 people there isn't good. It isn't a good hockey town anyways. Look at a real hockey town for example. Look at Toronto, sure it does have those rich retards that pay $200-300 to talk business but in the golds, reds and the uppers, you see fans that love hockey and even with a team that can win 2 games through their first 14, it's over capacity every game. It could be regulated but then what's the point? What's right with this team. The record that is starting to go downhill or all those beautiful empty brown seats? The reasons they sold-out opening night was one, it's a home opener and you can even compare to the Toronto Blue Jays where the sell out the first night and don't sell-out again (that's baseball, let's not go there) and two, there were tickets for $15 at the box office! You could probably get them practically get them free at Stubhub! It's basically as much as a London Knights game and even they get more average attendance for an OHL Game! There are fans in Phoenix but not enough, changing times won't do the city any good.

Too best honest, I really think a team in Saskatoon definetly could survive, but the corporate support is not there. If the oil went all to h*ll in Alberta. The flames and oilers would be screwed. Look at how much support the Riders get because the people of the Gap have nothing else. The greater Saskatoon area would support this team why not?

It's unbelievable you just asked this question LITY. I was coming home to Shittsburgh (err I mean Pittsburgh) from Los Angeles this weekend from a visit with friends. I had a one stop flight which was in Phoenix, Arizona. As I walked around the airport, I was looking at a few shops that had some Coyotes and Diamondback memerobilia. While I was looking at some of the 'yotes gear, a guy came up and asked me if I was from there and a fan. I said no, but we got to talking about the issue with Phoenix, and the guy said how difficult it was to see alot of the games because of the time it was on. Plus, he even stated that when the Diamondbacks were winning, people still barely showed to those games. He said College sports and the Cards are the only money makers.

That got me thinking.. is Phoenix really a good area for hockey?

Place your bets to win is easy with the Zcodes System from here https://tr.im/RlJRV .

Zcodes System is an incredibly correct plan since the forecasts are made by considering up several relevant facets; the reliability of the predicted outcome is incredibly high.

You would find it extremely difficult to factor in so many aspects and produce the prediction as precisely by yourself for even one sporting occasion, not to mention a complete day's betting's worth.

Zcodes is consistently being updated.  It's not an e-book.  It's a full time income, breathing, sports investing system.

Zcodes System does the difficult work for you since is just a program that hold it fresh.

You dont think that the powers that be arent influencing the bottom line to justify to the judge that they HAD to leave and break the lease because....nobody even comes to games and we are bleeding money? The stench belongs to Bettman and Co. for making absolute sure the franchise cannot rebound so they can justify their "escape". After all...they tried (chuckle, chuckle) to make it work in Phoenix but in the end there just werent enough fans (doesnt 6pm make it easier to get the kids to bed early after a hockey game....as overheard in a bettman conversation...smiling of course).

You forgot Quebec, Hartford, Houston, Oklahoma City...etc, etc. etc..

And it will cost us how much in relocation fees? Ok Gary...we can afford that...thanks for using the system to get us out of Phoenix....you sure duped those dummies....sun must've got to them! (As overheard by whoever the NHL and Bettman already have a deal with....lets hope they did more homework than they did in Nashville and tampas with those brilliantly picked owners)

LITY-

I mentioned something about this a few days back. My friend in Phoenix was a season ticket holder until they moved.

He was/is pissed.

The hike, as you mentioned, is a killer...and in my opinion, it probably turned off more than just my buddy.

The lifestyle out there is , well, laid back to say the least. My friend kicks out of work at 4 to make those games...when he goes now. But each time I was out there, I noticed a very casual life style- downtown Phoenix on a Friday night is a ghost town! I think that franchise being there was doomed since day one.

I'm sure the one hour difference in start times has a huge impact on attendance. If the Kings can survive for as long as they have in the land of quiche-eaters, then the Coyotes can too.
