flyershistory.com is the only site I can find that has old box scores, but it only has Flyers box scores. I'm looking for a March 24, 1977 game between the Red Wings and Flames. I'm trying to see if Steve Coates and Bill Clement ever played against each other in a game, and that would be the only game they could have played against each other because Coates played five games for the Wings after being traded to them in February of that year.

Anyone know where I can find old box scores?

I use these sites for all the info I'm after:

http://www.sports-reference.com/

http://shrpsports.com/

Since you might be unfmiliar with these sites, here's the page for the 76-77 season on Sports Reference:

http://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_1977.html

I just remembered this site. It will have what you need - but their database is being constructed as of this day. So if they don't have the boxscore you want, check again in a week or so. Don't let the name in the link throw you, it isn't all about the Flyers history, it goes back to the 1917-18 season.
