5. Olympics, nothing beats them

BQ: I worked all weekend, so the 2 hours I sat on my couch and watched hockey

1. What do you consider to be the most exciting aspect of hockey (Ex. Hits, Steals, Fights, Goals, Saves, Shoot outs...)? Goals. Then again, I'm a Caps fan, so I get treated to a number of really beautiful goals from Ovi, et al. A good hit is always fun, and good fights (the ones that really last) are awesome.

2. Would a Hockey players religious or political view ever sway you cheering them on? Political views: no. However, I would say religious views do, a little. Not saying I dislike a player because of their religious views, but when I was little, Jeff Halpern was a hero of mine because he was Jewish and grew up near where I did.

3. Who has the flashiest Shoot out move currently on your team? Probably either Ovechkin or Backstrom

4. Would you be attracted to someone that knew more about hockey then you? Depends. Are they good looking? Do they have any other interests? But a girl who's interested in hockey, or even sports in general, is pretty nice. My ex was a Bruins fan, so she knew why I was so into the Caps and didn't get mad at me for watching the games (she'd even watch them with me often times)

5. Olympic hockey or world cup of hockey what would you rather go see? Olympic hockey. Players are in mid-season form, so it's pretty fun.

BQ* What was the most fun you had all weekend? It was my birthday, so I went out to a place that claims to have the largest beer selection in the world, and then went up to Phili to see OAR

1. What do you consider to be the most exciting aspect of hockey (Ex. Hits, Steals, Fights, Goals, Saves, Shoot outs...)

I would say goals but lately, I've really focused on saves. What goalies can do is amazing..

2. Would a Hockey players religious or political view ever sway you cheering them on?

I'm pretty open minded with religion and politics. Ideology is just that, an idea. However, if they start pressing their ideas onto me that's when it's a problem.

3. Who has the flashiest Shoot out move currently on your team?

I like Jussi Jokinen but he's no longer on the team.

4. Would you be atracted to someone that knew more about hockey then you?

It wouldn't make a difference to me. I can't ever imagine meeting the female version of LITY....... probably not a good sight.... no offense

5. Olympic hockey or world cup of hockey what would you rather go see?

Olympic of course but I'm not opposed to World Cup of hockey.

BQ* What was the most fun you had all weekend?

Shots of Canadian Mist and playing Mario Party 7 (for gamecube) with the wife.

1. I love a good steal for a score. Datsyuk comes to mind.

2. Nope. I don't give a rip what their religious or political views are as long as they keep it off the ice.

3. On the Red Wings I gotta say Datsyuk. Although one of the few times that Eaves got to shoot he fell down. That was pretty cool. :o)

4. Would I be attracted to someone that knew more about hockey than me? Sure. That would be most people except NONE of my friends. Or relatives. Or co -workers. Or neighbors. Yes, the people I know are sad when it comes to hockey knowledge. Except our Canadian buddy.

5. Olympic hockey for sure.

BQ*. The most fun I had all weekend: THIS was the weekend of the famous surprise party we let our best friends out of town kids have at our house. I dreaded it. It cost me a bundle of money and a ton of work. I had to tell our friends the party was for them because they frekain' were not going to come (they thought it was a retirement party for another friend). We didn't tell their kids, though. When everyone was leaving on Sunday (they all spent the night) I cried, literally cried as they pulled out of sight. So, them leaving was THE most fun I had all weekend.

Saw Patrick on a Red Wings Q earlier if it was indeed the REAL Patrick. I checked. It was a Patrick imitator.

1 - Being a goaltender, you'd think I'd like the saves. I do, but only if I'm making them. As an observer I enjoy the play before a goal. A good example is the Denis Savard spin-a-rama goal.

2 - Moreso than ever. I love the Pink Floyd sound and think David Gilmour is the greatest guitarist out there, but I would not get along with him because of his publicized political views. I've dropped Jessica Alba from my list for her political spew, and the list goes on. One of things I enjoy about sports is that politics are far from the point. Granted it goes differently on the world stage and I expect politics to be at the forefront - but that doesn't mean I like it.

3 - n/a

4 - Well, if such a supermodel exists, sure.

5 - Olympic

BA - This is a family-oriented website, so the 2nd most enjoyable thing I did was hang out at the beach.

I was wondering the same thing. He's probably doing something better than being online - you know, being that it's summer.

1. Goal or save on breakaway, although a big hit is immensely exciting as well.

2. No, but it might prevent them from being a favorite.

3. Jussi Jokinen, no question, although Cully had a nice shootout move, but he's in Minnesota now.

4. Sure, I haven't actually found a girl my age down here that cares for hockey.

5. Olympic hockey, did you see those USA-Canada games? I wouldn't mind going to a World Cup game though.

BQ: I saw Inception; great movie, but somewhat confusing.

No, I have not seen patrick.

1) Everything "The hits: Everybody starts cheering when soembody is hit and it fun to see such elite players get smushed into the boards

Steals: AWSOME to see players try to get fancuy and end of losing the puck or a breakaway being created by a steal

Fights: See them beat the crap outta each other

Saves: Halak; nuff said

Shootouts: INTENSE

Goals: See your favourite team score, or get pissed when the other team does

All these things makes the game of hockey so great

2)Maybe, but if it doesnt really effect their game and they continue creating things and being an awsome player helping their team win, it should be fine but if the view is something you totally disagree with then it might, (even though it shouldnt as you should cheer for somebody based on their game and not views) but it sill could

3)Not sure, Probably Kessel, hes a great overall sniper, and during shootout it shows

4) Attracted how? I would love to talk to them because they know more and it would be fun to hear of what the know and think of certain players and teams and also what they think about past seasons and the NHL overall

5) Olympic hockey, most people havent even heard of the world cup of hockey. Olympic hockey , everybody is involved , even people who dont watch hockey and its funn having more fans involved when watching and cheering for a team, its overall a lot more exciting and more elite players take part in the olympics than in the world cup of hockey. (Vancouver 2010. obvious example of this)

BQ Went swimming, and a bad party with bad food,

1. Steals, goals, saves and shootouts. I enjoy action.

2. No I cheer for them because of their talent. I don't judge them for their opinion, values or way of life.

3. I don't think anyone is really flashy in my team. Gionta and Cammalleri are pretty good. I also like Markov's hard shot on shootouts.

4. No, a guy knowing more hockey than a girl is common. I wouldn't be offended.

5. Olympics are way more entertaining and exciting in my opinion. The atmosphere and the feeling you get when your country wins is incomparable.

BQ: Nothing. My weekend was deadly boring x_x

1. It depends. If Lucic checks someone through the glass, that's pretty exciting but if Bergeron makes one of those empty net saves again that awesome too.

2. I guess but that's personal soooo...

3. David Krejci?

4. Again, it depends. Just knowing everything about hockey isn't everything you know (ducks tomatoes)

5. Olympics.

BQ: I saw a tornado but then the power went out but it's back on now.

Edit...I'm in Maryland on "vacation". It wasn't even a real tornado...did you hear bout that storm on Sunday that hit Maryland? Nothing big like yours. It didn't touch down.

Boston had no tornado whatsoever.

1. A breakaway goal (by my team, not the opponent) or a save on a breakaway (by my team's goalie)

2. Unless he was a Nazi I would not care. I have heard people don't like Kadri because of his Lebanese background though.

3. Phil Kessel

4. No.

BQ: Watching the Leafs, Bills and Sabres play in one weekend

5. Whichever tournament has the best players.

1) End-to-end action...open game with plenty of flow.

2) Depends, I reckon.

3) Phil Kessel...best of a decidedly mediocre lot.

4) Sure, as long as her knowledge was beyond hockey.

5) Olympic hockey.

BQ: Worked Saturday at the Canadian Open and for the third year running ruined a pair of shoes in the muck; had late plans Saturday night (enough time to go home and burn my shoes and make myself presentable in mixed company). It's like Glastonbury minus the music (and a decidedly older demographic); hit the links Sunday (eschewing my gratis ticket- us volunteers get in free on the days we're not working) and caught up on work stuff.
