Question 1 :: Who would've won Devils vs Rangers

Question 2 :: If the Devils won, Would the Canadiens have beat the Devils in round 2?

Question 3 :: If the Rangers won, Would the Rangers have beaten the Bruins or vice versa?

Actually the Canadiens had the tiebreaker on the Rangers and would've finished 7th. So it woulda been Rangers vs Caps, and Habs vs Devils. So for the scenario that would've actually happened...



Caps over Rangers in 5. There's two teams the Rangers absolutely cannot beat; the Penguins and the Caps.



Devils over Habs in 6. The Habs play a style that the Devils invented. You don't play Devils hockey with the Devils and win.

Since winning the Cup in 2003, Martin Brodeur and his Devils have NOT won more than 5 games in the playoffs. I would see no reason to believe that the Devils would make it out of the second round, and in fact, they failed to make it out of the first round this year.

So with that in mind:

2) Montreal - Devils can't win more than 5 games in a playoff year

3) Bruins - Rangers don't have the scoring power that the Fylers have
