Not enough advertising for it. Encourage friends and family to watch it on tv and go to games

Just my opinion, but I still believe that most people do not like the misconception of the violent nature of hockey. Most people have never played the game, so they are not that interested in it or wanting to learn it. It is a great sport just from the aspect of the speed of the game. I don't know what to do to "fix" that other than to get the NHL to try and get announcers to educate the viewing public more.

Has to do alot with climate too. In Sweden, Finland or Canada it gets pretty cold in winter. So in places like Alaska, Michigan and Maine where the lakes and rivers freeze, they game has roots. My cousin in Mass loves the Bruins(lol, last place!), but in Pheonix?? Atlanta???

Hockey is doing well in Tampa and San Jose, maybe even Dallas, because those teams win. Once they stop, the fans will take up arena football or even lacrosse now is big.

If I could fix it I'd make it snow from like Mexico all the way up,in winter, but the price Oranges would go through the roof.

i think the reason is that you need a puck a stick a goal and some people and ice and know how to skate. where with other games you just need a ball and some people and your good. its harder to play a pickup game of hockey then any other sport. if more people had the chance to play or watch it life that would help. otherwise its gona be hard to get more people into the game.

it's like any sport on tv, it's too hard to follow especially if you have a small tv. i like hockey but they should have kept using the glowing puck. it is hard to see the puck. live sports are better. i'd use better nhl commercials to promote the sport and eliminate the need for a shoot out by allowing a tie. i liked having ties because it ended the games quicker

No attention span. If they went to a game, they would be hooked.
